My Foster Family in collaboration with Liverpool City Council held a successful fostering event in the city of Liverpool at Abdullah Quilliam Mosque on Tuesday 11th February. The evening saw a good turnout of prospective foster carers discuss the prospect of fostering in the Muslim community and gain more information on fostering a child.
Every 20 minutes another child comes into care. Due to the shortage of Muslim foster carers, most children need to be placed outside of their faith group. Muslim Foster Network works with the local community, foster carers and local authorities to improve the chances of successful placements.
